Grace doesn’t surface when we are overworked!
Sundays are always peculiarly wonderful (and dreadful) for teachers. As we process what the next five days will sound like, what we will wear, how we will do the job of teaching and learning, it often offers us a mirror on what it means to have grace.
Generosity–the will to do something MORE for others
Respect–the dignity to honor life’s moments of work, play, amusement and challenges
Action–the mechanisms we will use to change “thangs”
Compassion–the concerns we will have and openly express for others
Energy–the spirit that catalyzes us to be all that we need to be for ourselves as we pour out to others.
Grace, like justice, is a love offering of spiritual and physical magnitude
It develops our sense of belonging, makes us productive and pushes us to thrive.
Oh yes…GRACE is AMAZING…especially on Sundays when we give it to ourselves.
Stay up for the days ahead.
